Three Generations in the making

Our story starts back in 1929, in the picturesque Black Forest in Germany. Here, Master Distiller, Frans Zeitvogel handed his distilling legacy and knowledge down to his son, Oswald Zeitvogel, who then later continued the tradition on to his own son, Rolf Zeitvogel.

Rolf spent his early days at his father’s side, constantly learning and listening, hands sticky from the golden, sun-ripened fruits that fell in abundance around them. With an evergrowing passion for spirits and flavour, Rolf, in honour of his family legacy, strived to learn everything he could about each intricate step in the distilling process. From working with farmers, their fruits and botanicals, to distilling and blending, to bottling and selling, it was clear that this passion was here to stay.

Years later, on the southern coast of South Africa, and with the wealth of three generations of knowledge and passion, Rolf still strives daily to create something extraordinary. Something pure. Unadulterated and exceptional.
